  1. Hunting public land is all about being willing to go where others won’t. Where I live, everyone just wants drive up and down the trails then jump 100 yards off and expect to see something. When they don’t, they have the nerve to complain that there are no deer on public land. Last season me and my son in law literally crawled on our hands and knees to get to where we wanted to hunt. We saw plenty of sign but no luck. This year we plan to hunt the same spot (and look for more) Its the one place I know that not many (if any) other hunters are willing to go. I’m always on the lookout for ways to get deeper in the woods. Places with no trails are hard hunting but that’s where the deer are in my area.

  2. Where’s this “skyrocketing” number of hunters claim coming from? Every statistic shows the number of hunters in the East US has dropped in the last few decades.

    And gotta love tips 2 & 3 directly contradicting each other.
