  1. Im a SoCal hunter, didn’t grow up hunting. Picked it up at the age of 36. Here in California we have tons of public land. I don’t know what he’s talking about LOL. we also have too many damn black bears and the tags are unlimited the quota for bears is 1,700 with unlimited tags sold. I get Archery only Deer tags, and General tags every year over the counter and Im in the woods from august to October and with my bear tag the season is from August with a small break opening up again in October with Deer season and lasts til the last week of December.
